Tube vs Toob - By Kimberley Williams

Tube vs Toob - By Kimberley Williams

So, which is better? Do you like the Safari Ltd Toobs or  the Wild Republic Tubes? There are pros and cons to each, and as always personal preference will play a big role in which brand you choose.

Today I compared the Arctic Toob by Safari Ltd and the Polar Tube by Wild Republic and here is what I thought.

The first notable difference would have to be the number of figures that you get. Toobs offer 10 while the Tubes had 13 included.

There were a few matching species to compare in these tubes and each had a few extras not featured by the other.

When looking over the figures one of the biggest differences would be that the Safari Ltd Figures are white, you have a white Harp seal, Polar Bear, Arctic Rabbit and Dugong but compared to the Wild Republic the colour shift is dramatic, you can clearly see a much deeper creamy or even yellow colour and I feel like this makes them less realistic if we are talking about comparing them to the Real Fuzzies that live in the Snow.

There is a big difference in size between the two brands. Safari Ltd Figures are a lot smaller than Wild Republic, but also had greater details in the fur and facial expressions which were more realistic and less cutesy looking. This is going to be a preference; some Children will gravitate towards softer faces when playing while others will love the real deal. The Toob Figures also tend to have a heavier feel to the figures which I think is a lovely quality when playing with toys.

Both Brands offer Species identification printed on each figure which is a lifesaver for those of us who are not sure what the different types seals and whale are called.

Also of note is that there is a much greater variety available with Safari Ltd currently producing over 100 different Toobs compared with the 25 available from Wild Republic.

Personally after reviewing them both and having collected a few different styles of each, we fell in love with the Safari Ltd Toobs.
